If you are keen to meet and play Scrabble against a wider group of friends, we strongly recommend you give your local club a try.
There are over 100 registered Scrabble clubs in the UK and Ireland. Newcomers are always made welcome, and you will be given plenty of help and advice to get you started. Everybody is welcome, whatever standard of play. Most clubs meet on a weekly or monthly basis, some during the day, others in the evening. Contact the organiser in the full clubs list for the location, dates and times of club meetings.
Club meetings are very sociable events, usually with drinks and snacks available, so no matter how well you do, you are guaranteed to have an enjoyable time with a friendly bunch of people, and maybe pick up some hints and tips to help you beat your friends and family!
A full list of clubs and leagues is available in PDF format (last updated 25th June 2024). If you run a Scrabble club which is not listed, or if you have any changes or corrections to existing details, please e-mail us.
Don't forget that if you can't make it to your local club, there are plenty of places where you can play online. The ABSP Online league on Facebook is open to ABSP members, whilst the Internet Scrabble Club website and Scrabble GO are open to everybody, allowing you to play Scrabble online 24 hours a day. However, to really experience the fun and social aspect of this great board game, find your nearest club and give it a whirl. Good luck!
