apostrophus	(Lat.) the backwards C symbol used in Roman numerals.
del	a mathematical symbol, aka nabla.
lemniscate	an oval shape with two symmetrical loops across a central node (as the figure 8), used as the symbol for infinity.
nabla	(Greek) in Cartesian coordinates, an inverted delta, also called del, representing a vector operator.
operator	a symbol that represents a mathematical function.
operatorless	without an operator.
placeholder	a symbol in a mathematical or logical expression that may be replaced by the name of any element of a set.
singulary	of an operator, monadic.
vincular	of or like a vinculum, a unifying bond.
vinculum	(Lat.) a horizontal line placed above a part of an equation, etc, equivalent to brackets.
